Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento

Ashton Blaise Whitty was born on the 1st October 1995. She was born in Berkeley, California, USA. She is an American actress that has appeared on screen in Choices (2010) as well as The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004).

Asia Argento, born in Rome to a family which also includes actors and directors pursued these professions as well. At the age of nine and acting, she made her debut in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e Bisogni. In 1988, she was cast in the role of lead in the first feature of Cristina Comencini's film Zoo. In addition, she was an integral part of Michele Soavi's casting in The Church. Red Wood Pigeon, the film in which she starred as Nanni Moretti's young daughter, was released just a few years later. But it came from Close Friends by Michele Placido which saw Asia's acting career take off. The film received an enthusiastic response in the Cannes International Film Festival. She worked with her father for the very debut time on Trauma which was directed by the acclaimed Italian director of horror, Dario Argento. Her mother, Daria Nicoleli, is Argento's favourite actress, and she was the anorexic trying to track down the killer of her parents. Asia played a role in Dario's Phantom of the Opera, the third movie she made with her dad. The other two were Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. She also costarred in Carlo Verdones Perdiamoci di vista in which she played Arianna who was a physical challenged woman. The role was intricate and difficult, securing the David di Donatello as the most outstanding actress. In 1995 she worked together with Michel Piccoli on Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio. This collaboration was rewarded with the David di Donatello prize as well as the Grolla d'oro. Asia started her short film directing career in 1994. In addition, she directed an episode for the movie De Generazione. 1996 saw her directing a documentary alongside her dad. 1998 she directed AbelAsia on the legendary filmmaker Abel Ferrara. This film was awarded a prize at the Rome Film Festival. Asia began her first feature film in 1999. The film was Scarlet Diva. In the film she also played the main character and directed the script. It premiered worldwide during May of 2000. It was the winner of the Brooklyn's special prize at the Williamsburg festival of film.
