Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds the soul of gospel and jazz with R&B in a signature mix. From Broadway to European festival and clubs, the singer has done work all over the world. Sunshine's title is Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta, she originates in Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing and playing the piano in churches. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she embarked on her journey of music in the Atlanta's R&B musical scene. The very first song to feature her voice was Stalk You the Japanese version of 12 song. It was remixed and has become a part of her set. Her voice also appeared on the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. The year 2005 saw Tyler Perry hired her as his primary keyboardist for his stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as Choral Director of Dreamgirls the stage show at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition during her four daily performances during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform at President Barack Obama's inaugural in 2009.
